The various types of claim including those for variations, extensions of time, prolongation costs, acceleration, disruption and damages are discussed in this module.

You will be asked to examine four case studies that form the basis of your assignments. You will be asked to identify events and circumstances that may give entitlement to the contractor to make a claim or claims. You will also be required to state what the claim or claims would be for, the FIDIC clauses that provide entitlement, consider any legal principles and decide how the claims would be evaluated.
