1. Practical Use of the FIDIC Contracts Intermediate E-Course

1.1 Course Completion

  • Once registered, students are able to progress through the course at their own pace but the entire course must be completed within a 6-month period from the date of registration.

1.2 Module Assignments and Grading

  • Students must complete all 6 module assignments and submit the assignments to their tutor for grading.
  • Students will be able to progress onto the next module as soon as they have submitted their assignments. Their assignment grade will be returned within 7-days of submission.

1.3 Plagiarism

  • When working on and submitting assignments, students must agree to submit work that is 100% their own via a signed declaration that should be submitted with the first assignment.
  • Any student thought to have submitted plagiarised work will be removed from the course and will not receive credit for any modules and assignments completed up to that point.

1.4 30-day Refund Policy

  • If for some reason you are not happy with the course, or the course does not offer what you expected, Claims Class will offer a full refund within 30-days of purchase.
  • Within those 30-days, Claims Class must see that the student has attempted the course content and submitted at least one assignment.

 

2.0 Practical Use of the FIDIC Contracts Basic E-Course

2.1 Course Completion

  • Once registered, students are able to progress through the course at their own pace but the entire course must be completed within a 6-month period from the date of registration.

2.2 Refund Policy

  • Claims Class does not offer refunds for this course but Claims Class will allow you to transfer the fees to another course if you wish.
  • For example, if you progress through the course content and decide that you would prefer to take the Construction Claims Intermediate E-Course instead and receive the additional benefits that the course has to offer, Claims Class will allow you to transfer your fees that course and you will only be asked to pay the fee difference.

 

3.0 Construction Claims Premium E-Course

3.1  Course Registration

  • Registration for the course involves two steps: completion of an online registration form and full online payment
  • Students may not start their studies until both steps have been fulfilled.

3.2  Mandatory Reading

  • Students must purchase the following reading material which will be required to study along with the course modules issued to the student:
  1. Construction Claims & Responses: effective writing & presentation by Andy Hewitt
  2. Construction Contract 1st Ed (1999 Red Book)
  • We strongly advise that students do not start their studies until they have the mandatory reading material.

3.3  Module Assignment Submission

  • Students have a maximum of 60-days to complete each module and submit the relevant assignments.
  • Failure to complete the module within the time limit will result in a 15% penalty deduction from the total marks achieved for that module.

3.4 Tutors

  • Each student will be allocated a tutor who, other than in unavoidable circumstances, will remain with the student throughout the course.
  • Tutors will be available for consultation by telephone, internet voice communications, instant messaging and email.
  • If students wish to arrange to speak with their tutor, students must first schedule an appointment which will be confirmed by their tutor.

3.5  Method of Payment

  • We accept payments online using Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards in United States Dollars (USD).

3.6 30-Day Refund Policy 

  • Students will be given a full refund within 30-days of purchase if the course content is not what they expected.
  • Within those 30-days, Claims Class must see evidence that the student has attempted the course content and submitted at least one assignment.

 

4.0 Construction Claims Intermediate E-Course 

4.1 Course Completion

6.0 Understanding Claims Under the FIDIC Contracts Intermediate E-Course

1.0 Method of Payment

  • Claims Class, owned and operated by Hewitt Construction Consultancy FZE, accepts payments online using Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards. Payments are accepted in United States Dollars (USD).

2.0  Other Terms

  • Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of UAE.
  • United Arab of Emirates is our country of domicile.
  • Minors under the age of 18 are prohibited to register as a User of this website and are not allowed to transact or use the website.
  • If you make a payment for our products or services on our website, the details you are asked to submit will be provided directly to our payment provider via a secure connection.
  • The cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and merchant policies and rules.

3.0  Delivery / Shipment Policy

  • www.constructionclaimsclass.com will NOT deal or provide any services or products to any OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctioned countries in accordance with the law of the UAE.
  • Upon receipt of the course registration and payment, a confirmation will be sent via email to the course attendee.
