Take this practical course, created from our extensive experience in project delays, and get the skills you need to settle time related disputes.

The first part of the course covers: the fundamentals of planning, how to ensure a baseline programme is adequate for the purposes of delay analysis, prospective and retrospective methods of delay analysis and a review the Society of Construction Law Delay and Disruption Protocol (2017).

In the second part of the course we delve deeper into the complexities of delay analysis. We cover: concurrency principles, liability, entitlement (to extension of time), evidence, causation and finally, how to calculate loss and expense associated with critical delay.

This course includes graded assignments, tutor support, 10 CPD hours and certification.

Access to Course Content

Students will have access to the course content for 6-months from the date of sign up. After 6-months, the course will be automatically removed from the student’s account.

Module Assignments and Grading

Students must complete all assignments and submit to their tutor for grading.

Students will be able to progress onto the next module as soon as they have submitted their assignments.

Assignments will be graded and returned within 7-days of submission.

Tutors

Each student will be allocated a tutor who, other than in unavoidable circumstances, will remain with the student throughout the course.

Tutors will be available for consultation by telephone, video conference and email.

If students wish to arrange to speak with their tutor, students must first schedule an appointment which will be confirmed by their tutor.

Plagiarism

When working on and submitting assignments, students must agree to submit work that is 100% their own via a signed declaration. The declaration must be submitted along with the first assignment.

Any student thought to have submitted plagiarised work will be removed from the course and will not receive credit for any modules and assignments completed up to that point.
